Infected by Fear?

Inoculate Yourself!

This morning one of my Leverage Your Leadership clients needed to talk about the overwhelming fear she felt because of the crisis in the economy. As you can imagine, this was not the planned focus of her call. Yet our coaching conversation was a safe place for her to express the paralyzing fear and alarm she felt.  After she talked about her legitimate fears and concerns, she said: "I'm infected by fear." So together we looked at small practical steps she can take to 'inoculate herself' against the spread of fear infection.

Your Personal Remedy

The next steps I identified with this client are specific to her situation and of course confidential. The lesson learned here is that facing our fears can free us from the emotionally draining secrets hidden within them. This gives us energy to look at what action we are ready to take. Often the first step is ask for help.

"It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life...that no man can sincerely help another without helping himself."  - Ralph Waldo Emerson

During these difficult and fear-filled times, please let me know how I can help you.
