Calm & Balanced Leadership

U.S. Airways Flight 1549 - Splash Landing

This audio tells us that it's possible to be calm and balanced in the most challenging of circumstances.

P.S. After graduating from college, I wanted to travel the world. I'd gone away to college on a leadership scholarship and worked part-time. So of course I had no money to fund my travel dreams. That's why I decided to join the airlines - where my psychology degree came in very handy in my work as a flight attendant. I know first hand what happens during a flight emergency. Fortunately, the 2 emergency landings I experienced were with pilots and cabin crews who remained calm and balanced like the pilot and crew of US Airways Flight 1549. These experiences are proof that balanced leadership need not be the exception when we are dealing with what we can and cannot control.
