Transform Time & Know What You Do Is Enough

Time...Space...& You!

Your time and energy are at a premium. So why not focus on an easy way to altar your experience of time and get more satisfaction from all that you do.

Is This You?

  • You multi-task routinely – in meetings, on conference calls, while driving in stop and go rush hour traffic.
  • You dash from meeting to meeting – never feeling fully prepared or very present.
  • You work late, race home, deal with dinner, carve out some time for children and spouse – feeling tired, overwhelmed and guilty.
  • You work during the late night hours – trying to catch up on critical priorities.
  • You feel like your work and life are spinning out of control.

End the Madness!

If any of this sounds familiar, use a simple success secret to regain your sense of perspective and control. It helps you tune in and focus on what you are doing. It also frees you to enjoy real downtime.

T – r – a – n – s – i – t – i – o – n

Pause for just a few moments between:

  • Attention demanding and energy draining tasks at work
  • Serial and back-to-back meetings
  • Leaving work and arriving at home
  • Dealing with dinner and sitting down at a table to eat it – whether alone or with family
  • Late night work and finally ending your work day (or work night)
  • Letting go of whatever didn’t work during the day or night and relaxing so you can rest while you sleep

T-r-a-n-s-i-t-i-o-n enables your body to reconnect and ground you in the PRESENT moment. Consciously t-r-a-n-s-i-t-i-o-n-i-n-g allows your mind and body to move from one activity to another without residual resistance (or regrets).

Slow Down Time

Breathing transforms your experience of time. Use your breath to slow down time and transition from one activity to another.

Take 3 long, slow, deep breaths. Feel your breath flowing in and out of your abdomen. Allow yourself to experience the natural rhythm of your breath. Notice how it comforts you.

The more you tune into yourself with this technique, the less harried you feel. Slipping into this still space ‘in-between’ what you did a moment ago and what you will do in the next moment gives your body time to catch up with where your mind has taken you.

You feel calmer and more centered. That frees you to experience a sweet sense of satisfaction for what you have accomplished – letting you know what you do is enough.

Now you are ready to shift your focus to a new place of attention. Transformed by the quality of your experience in time, you engage in what’s next…and remain in control of what you can control.
